Style at the SAG Awards

The 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on January 29. While there were quite a few assumed victories—Emma Stone for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, Viola Davis for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role—some winners were unanticipated. Surprisingly, both John Lithgow and Claire Foy took home trophies for Outstanding Performance by an Actor and an Actress in a Dramatic Series, respectively, for the Netflix-original The Crown. However, it was Stranger Things that won the prize for Best Drama Series. Joe Keery, an actor in the summer sensation, graced the red carpet wearing the iconic Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon watch in pink gold and Bulgari Bulgari cufflinks—with which he not only stole the show, but also the Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Other big winners included Denzel Washington for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, for his performance in Fences, and Mahershala Ali for Actor in a Supporting Role, for Moonlight. The award for Outstanding Action Performance in a Television Series went to the crowd-pleasing stunt ensemble Game of Thrones, followed by Lily Tomlin—American actress, comedian, writer, singer, and producer—who took the statuette for Lifetime Achievement.
