Ulysse Nardin, the Le Locle-based watchmaker known for equipping the world’s navies with marine chronometers, recently released The Diver Black Sea, a watch that fuses fluid design with performance. The open dial has a dual purpose: its wave detail is a nod to the brand’s maritime roots while the white luminescent hands and indexes provide optimal clarity at night. The stainless steel case coated in matte-black vulcanized rubber makes for an interesting juxtaposition against the bezel that’s set with colored ceramic baguettes and doubles as a guard against extreme conditions. The timepiece can withstands depths up to 200 meters, a true testament to the innovative spirit of Ulysse Nardin.
