Forty owners of the storied Lancia Stratos HF flocked to the Piedmontese town of Biella for a weekend this past June to honor the iconic Italian sports car. As an event partner, Zenith – the Le Locle based watch manufacture founded in 1865 – presented an exclusive limited edition of its El Primero Chronomaster, a timepiece that captures the power and elegance of the Lancia Stratos. Vibrating at 36,000 beats per hour, the watch provides one-tenth-of-a-second precision. Emblazoned with a medallion dedicated to the event, the silver dial exposes the watch’s El Primero Caliber 4061 movement – the workhorse that fuels the hours and minutes functions, the chronograph and the tachymeter. The stainless steel case is finished with a domed sapphire crystal, while a black alligator strap accented with red topstitching embodies the heart of Italian sports-luxe design.
