Watch Journal and Girard-Perregaux Celebrate the Laureato in New York

Girard-Perregaux CEO, Antonio Calce delivers a welcome speech

Last night, Watch Journal partnered with Girard-Perregaux for a festive cocktail party in Spring Place’s Sunken Living Room that commemorated the newly expanded 2017 Laureato collection. The entire 34-model-strong line that debuted at SIHH earlier this year was on display for collectors and friends of the brand to experience and try on. Timepieces taken from each of the first three generations were also on display, granting the watch lovers in attendance a rare opportunity to explore the design development and history of the Laureato. Watch Journal editor-in-chief Jonathan Bues gave a speech on what he loves about Girard-Perregaux and introduced brand CEO Antonio Calce, who was making his first trip to New York City as head of the Swiss watchmaker.

A mirrored photo booth allowed guests a chance to try on one of new Laureatos and create a multilayered GIF, giving the attendees a living memory to take home with them or to post on their social media pages.
