When Parmigiani Fleurier decided to create an integrated chronograph for the brand’s 20th anniversary, the manufacture was not only expected to develop a watch, but something that represented two decades worth of expertise and knowledge.
With the Tonda Chronor Anniversaire, which was released at SIHH 2016, the brand did just that. This split-second chronograph boasts a frequency of 5 Hz and a solid rose gold movement known as the PF361. Until the debut of the PF361 movement, all Parmigiani in-house chronographs used a module resting atop the main movement. With this new caliber, the split-second chronograph (which uses two column wheels and a vertical clutch) and large date are perfectly integrated into the movement, allowing for a precise series of actions. The chronograph boasts precision to a tenth of a second and it comes in either 18-karat white or rose gold, with each being produced in a limited run of 25 pieces.
