The Carrera Calibre 5 Ring Master Muhammad Ali Edition, a resurrection of Tag Heuer’s 1957 Ring Master stop-watch, pays tribute to the legendary boxer and marks the brand’s third foray into the ring. Incorporating the inner-bezel from the Carrera Driver Timer Calibre 5, for greater flexibility in timing, the Muhammad Ali Edition echoes both the technical and aesthetic design elements of its predecessors. The dial features two rotary rings with scales showing 1-15 rounds of boxing; the outer ring, in red, denotes three-minute rounds while the inner ring illustrates two-minute rounds found in women’s boxing. The exclusivity of the timepiece is enhanced with unique crowns at 3 o’clock and 10 o’clock as well as a caseback engraving of Muhammad Ali with his signature and an inscription reading “Tribute to Muhammad Ali.” The watch retails for $3,000 and more information can be found on Tag Heuer’s website.
