In tribute to the restorations of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice, Jaeger-LeCoultre has released the Reverso Grande Taille timepiece featuring an enameled miniature of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco’s main marble staircase. Enamellers captured the tones and textures of the staircase while working against the rounded back of the Reverso’s yellow gold case and, out of respect for the image, a limited color palette. Using subtle contrasts and traditional techniques, the artisans maintained Jaeger-LeCoultre’s heritage of authentic craft and unique vision just in time for the Reverso’s 85th anniversary. The watch premiered at the Venice International Film Festival last week.
