Retrograde displays are unusual, coveted by collectors, and great conversation starters, not to mention their advanced mechanical engineering.
Two new models have just been added to the Bulgari timepiece line, one with a retrograde minute hand and jumping hour display, the other also equipped with a retrograde date display, both with hefty 42-hour power reserves. With dial designs inspired by classic car dashboards, the watches feature Gerald Genta’s retrograde system.
The Octo Mono-Retrograde is powered by the BVL 262 caliber in-house mechanical movement and is available in pink gold or steel. It is pictured, left, in the steel version.
The Octo Bi-Retrograde features the in-house BVL 300 caliber. Both watches feature a transparent caseback for a great view of the movement.
