Breguet is dedicating its 2017 pre-Basel opening to the Ladies with the reveal of the Tradition Dame 7038. The bezel is set with 68 stunning diamonds that almost distract from the natural white mother-of-pearl dial with intricate, engine-turned “Clou de Paris” hobnailing and rose-gold-tipped Breguet hands. The offset dial occupies space in the upper half of the watch, while the gear trains and bridges lie visible in the lower half. The 37 mm, 18k rose-gold case protects the Caliber 505SR self-winding movement, which showcases the importance of silicon in today’s watchmaking. The lever escapement comes with silicon pallets and the classic Breguet balance spring is also constructed from silicon.
